PostSubject: Metropolitan Deck   Mon Nov 16, 2009 10:01 am

Trying to get my big city deck to stand against aggression decks, I tried putting a D-Hero engine in. It works, but it's still not good enough, which is why I'm posting again.

Gale x1
Diamond Dude x2
Plasma x1
Ocean x3
Stratos x1
Woodsman x1
Gorz x1
Jujitsu Master x1
Plague x1
Sangan x1

Allure x2
Burden x2
Swap x1
D-Draw x3
E-Call x2
Heavy x1
Vortex
MST x1
Poly x1
RoTA x1
Hero City x3
Terra x1

BTH x2
Call x1
Mirror x1
PWWB x2
Solemn x1
TT x1

Side:

Caius x2
Kycoo x2
PMD x1
Raiza x1
Rai-Oh x1
Brain Control x1
Trunade x1
Soul Exchange x1
Mind Crush x1
Decree x2
Threatening x2

Sept 09 bans, in-game.

How the deck works:
Basically abuse the heck out of Ocean to recycle monsters for discard fodder or swarm (and it helps me to use 3 D-Draws with only 3 D-Heroes or I can have Plasma hang out in the grave until I can use it). Plasma, DAD, and synchros were added to make the deck more aggressive. I didn't want to add too much so I could keep the deck's versatility.

So basically, I'm trying to combine the versatility of big city with the aggression of d-heroes and it's worked quite well as in it's still consistent. Unfortunately, it still isn't enough to beat aggression which was why I did this in the first place. Any suggestions?

Nice deck.

I might suggest some Fissures or even a mained Lightning Vortex in here.

Also, I think Shrink would do better than E-Call, because of the fact that none of your monsters go over the 2000 attack range. It will still protect you from Bottomless, while at the same time allowing you to beat some Synchro threats (Stardust and Goyo have defense too high to be destroyed after a Book of Moon).

I assume you meant Shrink over Book? Hm, I'll give it a whirl. Vortex was taken out to make room, but I'll try that again too.

So how has 3 D-Draws work out for you? I know you can recycle D-Heroes for fodder with Ocean, but I wanna see how successful you were with that. The Shrink idea Trop suggested is a good suggestion. I recommend you try it out, although both Book and Shrink will have their pros and cons.

This is a cool deck. Very Happy

I figured I should max out Draw just to improve the consistency and give it more chance to be hit by Dude.

Creature Swap and Burden of the Mighty would be more suited. We talked about it in the chat but I kinda need to see the edited deck cause I may post somethings that you might have added in or taken out already. xD

Did some more work on it this morning. List updated. Unfortunately no one's on this time of day to test it.

I don't think your monsters are strong enough to use Burden. (You can't beat Cyber Dragon, Wulf, 1900 atk lvl 4's, or pretty much every Synchro, even with Burden down.)
